The village of Mlangarini does not have a quality educational program for four year olds. Our preschool class immerses them in English so they can begin a life of opportunities! It is the perfect setting for our little ones.
Kindergarten
Our approach to learning and teaching is through child centered play and education. After our students complete our Pre-K program they join our Kindergarten class
Why Fr. Christmas Academy
Fr. Christmas Academy is unique.
FCA provides a quality education to children in the village of Mlangarini and surrounding areas. Built and supported by the Tanzania School Foundation, we are able to provide a superior education for a decent price.
FCA is not in the market to make huge profits, it is working towards a sustainable model. To earn enough revenue to support our workers, maintain our campus and educate our students.
We are a unique model. Most of our students cannot afford full school fees, the Tanzania School Foundation works hard to fill in the gaps through sponsors who support a limited amount of students who cannot afford the full school fees.
With ongoing support from individuals across the globe we have built (and continue to build) an exceptional school campus. All of our students have a story of poverty.

Classroom Facilities
Built and designed with children in mind, our big, bright and colorful classrooms encourage learning.
We have a maximum of 24 children in each classroom with one teacher and one teacher intern. Loaded with books, arts and crafts, musical instruments and more.
Indoor Play Areas
Our classrooms are fun, colorful and full of resources to guarantee success in all of our students. Unlike other schools in Tanzania, each student has their own space to create their own futures. Crayons, pencils, lego’s and loads of books for our students to use.
Outdoor Play Areas
Our outdoor playground is fun for children of all ages. Swings, slides, seesaw, tire apparatus’ and more. Painted in bright colors to make every child feel welcoming. Our students love their play time! We also have jump ropes, balls and games for our students to play.
Friendships
Fr. Christmas encourages children to be children. Our students learn to shares, win, lose and have a true sense of themselves. In this process our students create friendships that can last a life time.
Development
All of our students are treated with respect at Father Christmas Academy. This leads to positive development. We teach children that they can become honest, capable and successful individuals in the future. We give them the tools they need to succeed in life.

Father Christmas Academy is highly regarded as an excellent educational facility.
We continue to work with the Ministry of Education to enlarge our program to a primary school so our children can continue their excellent education with us.
The majority of our students pay a discounted school fee or receive a free education. We are currently working on a sustainable approach as this is not an easy task with the small resources we have. We are looking to expand our program to children in Arusha who value the education we provide.

Our Rooms & Classes
Our little people room is for children with basic English skills. Great strides will be made this year as they prepare for their English Medium School. After completing this level all children will be able to write their names, know capital letters, count to 100, simple addition, subtraction, their colors, shapes and can understand and speak English.
Pre K starts at age four. Many of our students have never attended school before this class. It is an English immersion program. Students will learn their ABC’s, 123’s, colors, shapes, animals and more. They also earn through song and art. It is a fast paced learning environment.
Little People Room
Where are students are preparing for primary grades! Children learn new English words every day, addition, subtraction and a general awareness of how things work!
Pre K Room
Children learn the basics. ABC, 123, colors, shapes and more. Our students learn quickly at this age. English is becoming familiar to them. A room where kids are kids.
Our Students
All of our students who receive a free or scholarship education must perform well. We expect children to perform at an 85% level or risk leaving our school. We encourage parental oversight. Our students are with us for four hours per day, therefore learning must continue at home. at Fr. Christmas Academy we give the foundation for learning and it must continue at home.
Students must:
- Come in full uniform
- Arrive on time 8:00am
- Complete all class assignments
- Participate in the classroom
- Want to learn
We believe in safety and we work to keep our students safe. We have volunteers who look after our students while in the playground. We maintain our classrooms, bathrooms and grounds to prevent unnecessary accidents. We have first aid kits available if a child should scrape their knees.
We care about our students general well being. We encourage laughter in the classroom. Our students participate in fun activities throughout the school week to keep them interested, engaged and happy. Most of our children do not have fun outside of our school, it is the one place they feel safe, secure and happy.
Our goal is to provide a excellent education. We limit our classrooms to 24 students with the brightest in each class. We are mandated to follow the Tanzanian curriculum, however we build on it to give our students a higher quality of education. Our students are taught with western ideals and a different quality than locally available. It is our goal to educate the future leaders of Tanzania.
